LGBTQIA+

Habitat NYC and Westchester supports the LGBTQIA+ community through annual Pride events and partnering with LGBTQIA+ organizations to facilitate financial literacy workshops for the community. We’re also developing Haven Green, a 123-unit LGBTQIA+-friendly senior rental building in Little Italy. Women’s Empowerment

More than 80 percent of our Habitat Homeowners are single female heads of household – often women of color who are working to build equity for their families for generations. Engage the women at your organization on our construction sites through our Women Build initiative, at our annual Women Build Luncheon, and other women-focused events we have throughout the year.

Financial Literacy

Habitat NYC and Westchester is a non-profit housing developer and housing justice organization. As part of our mission to holistically serve our clients, we offer financial literacy workshops to our Homeowners, Homebuyers, denied applicants, and residents of limited-equity co-operatives throughout the city. Disaster Relief and Global Impact

Habitat NYC and Westchester recognizes that New York is a global community. We lead annual volunteer trips to build abroad in areas of need. Past trips have included the Dominican Republic and El Salvador.
