What is revitalizing community spaces?

Our construction preservation services program (CPS) combines a strategic mix of skilled tradespeople and volunteers to perform a defined scope of work that will address the physical needs of a building.

With CPS, Habitat NYC and Westchester performs necessary capital improvements to resident-owned and controlled multifamily buildings at a low cost. This ensures that residents will not find themselves in financial distress due to paying for costly repairs beyond their means. While the scope of work varies with each project, we seek opportunities for skilled trades, volunteers, and potentially the homeowners themselves to perform the construction, allowing us to maximize impact and minimize costs.

Previous Revitalization Projects

  • We would like to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to Habitat NYC and Westchester and all the volunteers for the excellent work you did! The space looks modern and appropriate for all age groups that use the center. The quality of work was excellent and the space was turned back to us in a pristine state. We are so impressed with how Habitat transformed the Jacob Riis Cornerstone program and enlivened some of the rooms and stairs at the Boys and Girls Republic.
