What Happens to the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree After the Holidays?

When the lights go out and the crowds disperse, the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas tree doesn’t just disappear — it gets repurposed for good. Since 2007, the tree has been donated to Habitat for Humanity, where its lumber is milled and used to build affordable homes.
