Habitat NYC and Westchester is a housing justice organization that welcomes all community and faith-based groups to partner in advancing our mission together. Due to high demand and fluctuating availability for volunteer opportunities, we prioritize organizations seeking a multi-faceted partnership with Habitat that includes but is not limited to volunteerism. Community and faith partners commit to two or more of the following collaborations:
Giving – We warmly welcome financial support from our community and faith partners. Whether you choose to make a one-time gift or start your own fundraising page to rally support from your network, your contribution makes a meaningful difference. Habitat NYC and Westchester contributes to Habitat for Humanity International’s tithe program, funding crucial international development programs—you may choose to direct your financial support specifically toward this important work. Advocating – Advance housing justice through our city, state, and federal advocacy campaigns by raising your collective voice to advocate for public policies that address the affordable housing crisis and work toward greater housing justice.
Volunteering – Building on a Habitat worksite or serving in a ReStore is a powerful way to mobilize your principles or faith in tangibly addressing our housing crisis. Community and faith partners receive priority for regular and/or special builds, as available. Hosting – A unique opportunity to provide space/food for special events, trainings, marketing info sessions, or even ribbon-cuttings, home dedications and ground breakings. We seek partnerships within the communities in which we serve to ensure our work is connected to and equitably advancing local priorities.
