MARCH 7, 2019 – In a city where an estimated 200,000 seniors are on the waiting list for an affordable apartment, supporters of the project see the garden as a palatable sacrifice in order to house older adults on fixed incomes who are burdened with high rents or isolated in walk-ups.
MARCH 20, 2019 – Meet the 2019 Brownstoner top leaders in Brooklyn real estate, architecture, design and development. Working in fields as various as historic preservation, affordable housing development, architecture and art, they are helping to make Brooklyn a better place.
MARCH 28, 2019 – There really is a place for everything. Donations from Junkluggers to Habitat for Humanity's New York City ReStore has brought in $25,000 over the past two years which supports the nonprofit's larger work of building and preserving affordable housing.
