Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester County’s staff, volunteers and supporters are of paramount importance. That is why our updated COVID prevention and protection procedures focus on safety, flexibility and mutual respect.
The following guidelines are applicable to all in-person activities, including, but not limited to: in-person volunteering on construction and BWK sites, in our ReStore, and in our John Street office. Any Habitat NYC and Westchester employee or volunteer, acting in connection with, or on behalf of, our organization, must abide by these guidelines when meeting in-person.
Please Note: ReStore shoppers must abide by the guidelines laid out in the store itself, but any ReStore volunteers must abide by these guidelines.
UPDATED HABITAT NYC AND WESTCHESTER COVID PREVENTION AND PROTECTION POLICY

- Habitat NYC and Westchester considers an individual fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series of COVID vaccine, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine.
- Habitat NYC and Westchester County staff and volunteers are required to mask at all times during any in-person activity, except if fully vaccinated, working in our John Street office, and appropriately socially-distanced.
