What is the Community Impact Program (CIP)?

We’re revitalizing the shared spaces New Yorkers rely on every day. Through volunteer‑powered projects at community centers, schools, parks, and senior spaces, we support neighborhoods that often have limited resources for upkeep but strong need for welcoming, well‑maintained environments.

What do our volunteers do?

CIP volunteers provide hands‑on support through space revitalization such as painting, murals, landscaping, clean‑ups, and other essential upgrades that help restore beauty, improve functionality, and strengthen community connection.

If your organization serves the community through a shared or communal space—and could benefit from volunteer support—we’d love to partner with you. CIP provides a hands‑on, collaborative way to invest in your space and the people who use it every day.

  • We would like to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to Habitat NYC and Westchester and all the volunteers for the excellent work you did! The space looks modern and appropriate for all age groups that use the center. The quality of work was excellent and the space was turned back to us in a pristine state. We are so impressed with how Habitat transformed the Jacob Riis Cornerstone program and enlivened some of the rooms and stairs at the Boys and Girls Republic.
