Habitat for Humanity New York City, Pennrose and RiseBoro Community Partnership are proud to have been designated for this exciting development. We look forward to serving Council District 1 and the City at large by providing 123 new deeply affordable and energy-efficient senior apartments and public space in the Little Italy neighborhood of Manhattan. Our proposal also provides approximately 8,000 square feet of high-quality publicly-accessible open space. The public space design seeks to recreate many of the existing features and layout of the site, including passive spaces, sculptures and art pieces, lawns, diverse plantings, space for gardening, and open seating. We are excited to engage the community through an upcoming participatory design process in this LGBTQ-friendly development.
