Philanthropy in Action:
Habitat NYC and Westchester
Board of Directors

Habitat NYC and Westchester’s Board of Directors is comprised of professionals, public servants and philanthropists who dedicate their time, expertise, resources and even their sweat and muscle to help us build and preserve safe, healthy and affordable homes for hard-working families, both here in New York and across the globe. Their guidance allows our organization to remain nimble, focused, and, most of all, effective in our vital work.

Board members play a critical role in Habitat NYC and Westchester’s programs and fundraising. They solicit interest and support among their personal and professional contacts, assist in setting and reviewing the organization’s mission, philosophy and goals, participate in short and long-term planning to determine which services and programs the affiliate may provide. Every board member makes an annual contribution to the organization and serves on subcommittees that directly oversee different elements of the organization’s activities, including a DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice) subcommittee.

Board members have access to Habitat for Humanity’s local and global network, and are immediately introduced to a wide variety of professionals with different backgrounds and insights who share a passion and commitment for housing.

Board members are able to put their passions into action, and make a positive change in the world.
