World Habitat Day 2019

The first Monday of October is World Habitat Day, a partnership between Habitat for Humanity and the United Nations to promote awareness of the importance of shelter.

Today, we celebrate all that we have accomplished in the past 35 years, including:

1,400 families served in New York City

80+ percent of Habitat NYC Homeowners are single female heads of household

380 Future homes in progress

325 Families served internationally

$1,187,000 in Global Giving

1,430 Tons of waste diverted from landfills by the ReStore

Thousands of lives touched through A Brush with Kindness community revitalization

Tens of thousands of volunteers engaged

None of this would be possible without our dedicated supporters.

Keep us building a better world.
